Your asylum request is in progress at Ofpra once you have sent your asylum request form together with the required additional documents and the Ofpra has sent you a letter of introduction of an asylum request.
If you have not received your letter of introduction from the Ofpra, it is possible to report this to the Reception, Interpreting and Assignments Division (DACIM). (See the section “How to contact the Ofpra”).
The division of your file is indicated in your convocation letter:

AA = Americas-Africa
AF = Africa
AM = Americas-Maghreb
EU = Europe
AS = Asia
EA = Europa-Asia
You can provide additional documents relating to your request at any time, from submitting your request to receiving your decision.
You can send documents by post at this adress:

You can also bring these documents directly to your asylum interview if you do not want to send originals by post.
If you already know the division in charge of your file, you can adress it directly to the concerned division :
OFPRA
Division XXXX

Accompanying minors with sufficient discernment are not interviewed, except when the Ofpra considers that this additional interview to that of their legal representatives (parent, guardian or president of the departmental council) is essential for the examination of their application for 'asylum.
You will receive a registered letter with acknowledgment of receipt to the address you indicated to the Ofpra (See the section “How to inform the Ofpra of my change of address”).
If you have indicated your telephone number and/or your email address, an SMS and/or email will inform you of the sending of the said decision.
For reasons of confidentiality, no information on the direction of the decision will be communicated to you by telephone, mail or email.
You can send a letter to the Ofpra explaining your wish to withdraw your asylum application and, if necessary, the reasons for this decision.
The Ofpra will then send you a confirmation letter as well as, where applicable, all the documents that you had attached to your asylum application file.
